HELP! me chose the right wall ovens
Comments (11)I hated hated hated the old oven with open heating elements. Hence, when looking for my new one I only looked at those with covered elements. Another thought to consider when choosing a 27" oven is the actual usable space inside. We were briefly considering 27" instead of 30" and had a very hard time finding one that would have fit our big turkey pan. We took that one with us to every showroom we went. As much as I like the Miele and eventually got the 30" one, it didn't have the largest interiour space among the 27" ones. I think at the time (about 2 years ago) only the 27" Kitchenaid oven had covered elements AND fit our large pan. The Miele is definitely by far a better oven than the Kitchenaid. I'm glad that our kitchen design allowed for a 30" oven. Our budget didn't allow for 2 Miele though. We only got one. With true convection and the possibility of putting in multiple sheets of cookies or several pans at the same time I didn't see our need for a second oven as that high. If your space constraints dictate 27" I would most certainly think which large pan you need to fit and take it to the showroom....See MoreNeed help chosing rug pad
Comments (4)I bought a large rug from Overstock and also bought one of their thick pads. I believe it was this one (link). It wasn't cheap but the rug stays in place and added extra cushion. I'm really happy with it. I didn't click on the link above yet but I'm wondering if it's really necessary to buy a thick cushy pad like that for smaller rugs (3x5ish). I've never bought one of those thin waffle weave looking ones and am considering cheaping out for a small rug I have. Here is a link that might be useful: pad...See MoreI need Help chosing paint colors
Comments (37)O.K. Trying to get this narrowed down. I am thinking of going with SW Macadamia in the foyer, Mayflower red in the game room to left of foyer and I love a teal color for dining room. I am loving Halcyon and MoodyBlue(Thanks Randita). I know I still have to try them out in the actual room but wanted your opinions Will these colors work together? Still need paint colors for kitchen an family room too. I looked at the Lighthouse landing and Deerpath and love them too. What a girl to do??? LOL! Thanks for all the help!...See MoreNeed help picking the right floor color
Comments (16)A if you're matching. you will have to pull up that shoe molding in order to lay the flooring to the molding, or you will have a gap. So much easier if you just remove all of it and replace w/taller, white baseboard molding. will look much more up to date this way you lay your flooring to the wall, and put down baseboard on top of it. no shoe molding putting in shoe molding to hide the gap of bringing floor boards up to baseboard. or paint the wood white, bring in new shoe molding to match your flooring....See MoreHU-187528210
