It would be helpful if you would draw out your room layout and then provide a link to it. It would be easier for all of us to envision. Keep in mind that every laminate flooring has a maximum run length, around 25' or so. You cannot exceed that w/o putting in a transition which is unsightly. I put in 1300 sq feet of flooring last year and had to figure this out so I'd love to help if I could get some visual assistance.

Please choose another "visual" for the tile. Wood look up against wood makes BOTH materials look cheap. After spending all that money on wood floors, that's the LAST thing you want. Remember: bathrooms are allowed to have a different floor - because of the wet issues. Therefore they are allowed to have a different LOOK! That's what's so much fun about bathrooms! You can make the smallest room in the house into a show stopper! It's so much fun to design a bathroom! Why would you limit yourself to the same look seen in the rest of the house? Have fun - and start thinking about how you can make your bathroom stand out, not blend in.

The kitchen is an add on (added many years before I purchased the home). I assume the measurements are accurate. I sketched it the carpenter I talked to added the measurements and asked me to look for inspiration as I was not totally sure how to create something g beautiful out of something so awkward without remodeling over half the home. The kitchen sits on a frost wall so it is a bump out from the remainder of the house. It's seems weird because it is weird. Visually it makes no sense at all. That is the reason for most of the budget money going to structural cost else where ( releveling the home, replacing joist that were cut, shotty electrical and so forth). So im trying to work with what I somewhat have. Half of the kitchen is not accessible from the underside of the house so moving plumbing would mean excavating costs and so forth. Another reason I don't want to fool with the 15ft wall. I can't even access it from the basement either. It is a solid brick wall and dry walled over. I wish I could tour you all. It's a noodle scratcher. So from the edge of the counter on the pantry wall and backward to the wall wanting to be removed is accessible from the basement. Electrician state he could cut into the underside of cabi and feed a line that way.

You're evaluating the windows with nothing in the room. I wouldn't block a single window but take advantage of them! My gosh, most people would love to have so much light coming in. Do you need window treatments at all for privacy? Do you have a view? Do you have photos of the room from other angles so people can advise on furniture placement? If so, please post those photos. --If you need window coverings for privacy, then Install solar shades on the long window and the one next to it since you can't really hang long curtains in front of what looks like a heater on the right wall. --Turn the far wall into a reading/relaxing space with a chaise in front of the full-length window. --Add a bookshelf below the small, wide window and put live plants on top or sculptures backlit by the light coming in. Please don't block those windows with anything but the most minimal window coverings and let there be light!
