OK another update. I took the can of slip back and had them tweak it -- they tried for Violet Pearl but because there were already pigments in there that weren't supposed to be, I ended up with something darker that looked a lot like BM's Piano Concerto instead. I used it to repaint a few of the slip walls and liked it better -- it went from little girl's room lavender to a darker lavender with a bit of grapey tinge. But it was still pretty intense and not grayed out enough. So I went back to the store and grabbed sample cans of Hampshire Rocks, Violet Pearl, and After the Rain - the three lightest on that paint strip. (After the Rain had been a finalist in my earlier deliberations.) Hampshire Rocks was an immediate no -- in the room it looks pink with a gray tinge -- not lavender at all (and -- STOP READING NOW IF YOU HAVE HAMPSHIRE ROCKS ANYWHERE IN YOUR HOUSE CAUSE I DON'T WANT TO RUIN IT FOR YOU -- awful as it sounds, it reminded me of the color a dead person's skin after the undertaker makes them up for the viewing - yikes!). Violet Pearl and After the Rain have serious potential though. The sample cans are some other kind of paint that takes MUCH longer to dry than the aura, so I painted some largish swatches and am waiting for it to dry down fully. More pics tomorrow I guess! I brought home a chip of Capitol White during my first paint store trip and it is beautiful -- it's like the color of vanilla ice cream. But the trim paint is Ben Moore's Simply White which has a creamy tinge. And really, it's a color match done into a different brand of paint that is ended up even creamier than the real Simply White. So when I held the Capitol White up to the trim, there didn't seem to be enough contrast -- it looked like a slightly "off" version of the trim color. I will keep Capitol White in mind for future projects though - it is pretty! LisaD82 - funny you say that about Ocean Air - I wouldn't call it spa blue or baby boy blue -- in real life, it's more like a tiffany box blue. It's pretty but somehow it seems to fight with all the gray in the stone, grout, etc. And Roarah -- I think your room is beautiful and not boring at all!!!!

@decoenthusiaste LOL! I regretted the 'modern farmhouse' when I wrote it. I think I mean a monochrome look, darker overall, with siding, trim and fascia all one color. I am just not into the white highlighter outline look so many are doing. Want to be ahead of the trend and stand out. However, I am so afraid to get it 'wrong.' We did choose a roof color that pulls all the brick colors together. It's an overall medium to darker gray, with hints of warmth and black through. We would ideally like to avoid coating the brick. We would consider after, if it looks bad. We would really like to keep it and roll with it. The garage doors will be converted to one larger door, but yes, there is brick between, with a strip of hideous siding above currently. All to be redone. Unfortunately, we are headed into winter and the siding color needs to be selected this week, or we push to next year...and we just don't want to do that.

Miranda, Thank you for the image with the color change. I appreciate the visual. The Soji white in person is really white. I painted the fascia just to see how it would look and it was too white. I painted over it with the Acia Haze. We also live in a Arizona with horse property so my husband doesn‘t want something too light where the dirt will show up. We are liking the Urban Puddy which is the bottom left in my original picture and the big board in the pictures I added. I put up the board I made of Roadside in the morning and post a picture. The painter will pressure wash tomorrow, tape Tuesday, and start painting Thursday. Based on the comments it seems we should go with the Urban Puddy. Or does anyone have a specific color they’ve used and been happy with that is similar to what we‘re all visualizing?

I think black/charcoal trim will be too stark of a contrast. I would do the sage green that you posted above with the bottom "white" of your paint samples, which looks like the softest white...and closest to all of your inspirations.
