@nadianyc - Thanks, the kitchen is not done yet, hence no "reveal" thread. The vent hood is by Prestige. It comes highly recommended from the Appliances forum and moves a crazy amount of air. I bought it from AJ Madison - it's an insert. They have two versions - one where the fans are installed on the vent hood and another where they are installed in line with the ducting. The second version is much quieter but I've had bad luck with fans installed in a hot place (attic) so I went with the regular model instead. If you want the cabinets to be completely flat on the front as ours are you need to either bump the uppers outward or make them deeper than normal because the depth of the insert is 14-15 inches if I remember correctly. I bought the tiles at a local distributor (Palmetto Tile Distributors) but they are readily available online, even on Ebay with free shipping.

I wouldn't choose any of those tiles you have. there are so many other better choices to accent your countertop. Buford - Thank you so much for the great pic of your beautiful bathroom! It is so incredibly helpful! I also love your white 12X24 vertical white tile in shower, stunning. My vanity arrived and unfortunately is a creamier white with a creamier top than I anticipated, I was so bummed and let go of the Statuario hex idea because it was to "cool" for the "warm" vanity. I was trying to get used to a dark floor idea (Porcelain 'slate' 3" hex). But hen today I looked at the 'Calcutta' version and there was hope again because it has warmer veining....and then I saw your post and I am back to feeling like I want to put it all over my entire floor :) I had also looked more closely at the Crossville 'State of Grace' line today (formerly Virtue) and they have a 3" hex plus herringbone option! I have remodeled four full bathrooms and a half bath in the past ten years in two different houses. If you're trying to pick things out at Home Depot or Lowes, I suggest you go to a store that specializes in tile or flooring instead as they will have designers that will help you coordinate all of the different parts in a bathroom (counters, shower walls, flooring) at no cost. If you live in a rural area this may not be an option for you, but I can tell you that this approach has helped me a lot. They should be able to stay within your budget. The place I use has options across all price points. They can also recommend installers. I like your thinking about keeping a similar color palette across all the bathrooms, but not doing it exactly the same way in all of them. The things you like make sense in an older home (pre-war). If you have a mid-century rancher you should go in a different direction.
