We have a grandfather clock in our dining room. Does not make us feel rushed but is nice to know the time when we are in there. No one wears watches anymore so otherwise we'd have to get up to check or look at our phones which we don't like to do. But I don't know how I would feel about a huge one. I know I don't like my mirror in there. Edited to add that mirrors are great but not when they are eye level and you sit watching yourself eat. That's what I have because my mirror is on a dresser I am using as a sideboard. It's the only place for this heirloom in my house. I have stuff in front of the mirror but not enough. I always end up on the seat opposite the mirror because no one else wants it. A word of caution.

So same shade as the beige in the pillows or a lighter (cream) shade? And do you really think a creamy white would go well under the printed set as well?? There's def no cream in it. It's an odd set I know. It's what I'm stuck with though.

I would recommend a neutral tone for your draperies. It looks like your room can also support a patterned neutral drapery as well. This will lighten the mood of the room. I would also recommend that you use a floor length panel. I hope this helps!

Ceiling to floor. If you're going to open and close them, they need to be 1/4-1/2" off of the floor, so get the longer length and have them hemmed. If stationary, they can "break" on the floor. We haven't seen any puddling in our workroom for a few years now. Ideal length. "Breaking on the floor"
