Replace carpet with luxury vinyl plank - what brand?

We have our house in Texas rented out and the carpeting was damaged from a water leak (great Texas freeze). Instead of replacing the carpet in two bedrooms and the adjoining Jack and Jill bath we are looking at using wood-look vinyl plank flooring.

It is slab on grade with bare cement under the carpet pad. However, due to the sloping lot profile, the floor is actually on top of about 2-3 feet of cement slab, so I assume the moisture level under the slab is quite low.

We picked out one choice from Shaw (Tyson Plank 20) because the flooring guy said that brand should come in relatively quickly, but have we no experience with what we should be looking for. This one has a 20 mil wear layer, but is not very thick overall because its designed to be glued down. They have other choices that are thicker, but they are designed to be floating.

Any input on Shaw vs. other brands? Are there any disadvantages to using a glue-down product on cement slab foundation?

Thanks,

Bruce
