Does anyone know the name of this quartzite?
Comments (19)Karen, what are the black specks? I think this is an Intermediate quartzite, but it does have some crystals. It also absorbs up to the waterline, but dries out quickly. I used different edges of the stone to scratch glass, and it passed every time. No etching from lemon juice or vinegar. Bathroom stain test. Left to dry overnight. Clockwise starting with black spot: Mascara, liquid makeup, tinted moisturizer, water (below black), red wine vinegar, mustard, and lemon juice (top right). I left the puddles on pretty thick. I will never have mustard, etc in the bathroom, but I tested them just for giggles. The red wine stain is on the far left and barely visible. The mascara and makeup stains are probably because of the oils. After washed with Dawn. Water absorption test after 15 minutes. The watermark only goes up to the water level. It dried after 15 minutes. I circled tiny black specks that look the same as the veins....See Moredoes anyone know what this exact box is I can’t find a name
Comments (2)It is called a cartridge fuse holder. It must match the brand, etc. of your electrical panel. Since it is a 30 amp fuse in the pic, is this a remote disconnect for and A/C or similar? You may have to buy a whole new fuse box to get what you need, which isn't terrible in $. If you do, buy a box with circuit breakers instead of fuses....See Moredoes anyone know the name of this stone
Comments (4)Is that even a photo, or a computer rendering? You see a lot of the light stones in Texas ... I think Texas Limestone....See MoreDoes anyone know the name of this plant. Gift planter keeps growing.
Comments (3)Bit hard to see from an overhead shot but looks like it is blue oat grass, Helictotrichon sempervirens. Too tall/leggy to be blue fescue....See Moremxk3 z5b_MI
