I don't think so at all - you could definitely go with chrome in the bathroom. One resource I've used to see what may be considered 'acceptable' is the Houzz website. They've got thousands of remodel pictures, most of which were done by designers/architects - I have noticed that there are a lot of high end homes with ORB door knobs, but chrome in the bathrooms. Lots of postings also have pictures for other rooms, so you can see how they've carried out whole house remodels and what finishes they used throughout. Hope that helps - just my opinion! In general I prefer that not everything matches perfectly, but I think you have to be a little careful. Especially if two things are right next to each other, or if one is lined up above another (like a sink faucet and a vanity light), I think it's better to have an exact match OR two entirely different finishes. If the two finishes are in the same room but don't rely on each other for symmetry, you have more play.

I love the lighting. the shower curtain was in one color but of course it’s hard to know if a fabric color online will be the same. the seatch does come in the lighter color you saw, Design Interior South, but it looks so washed out. mom wondering if it was a bad sample and I thought of calling them ...the shower curtain isn’t the best for the spot and I haven’t used it so I may pack it up and send it back. I had just hung it for photos. Plus the linen material isn’t practical for that bathroom .. but the style is so cute. no I did not price that out yet but plan to.!!! i like your taste Design Intetior South!! Thank you Home Chef!! Choosing a “gold tone” faucet is a tricky proposition. There are so many variations…Which finish do you like better? Faucets are more noticeable…you will see/touch them every time the bathroom is used. The light fixture would work better with faucets that are a satin, antique, less shiny brass finish. And if you’re black-framed mirror is metal…you’re already mixing metals.
