I want glass shower doors - is it possible? (pic)
Comments (30)I'm sure if you shop around, you can find something less costly than the Perrin and Rowe with an exposed shower feed. Here's one from Grohe. From their web page: The Rainshower System adds a sophisticated, distinctively European flair to any stylish bathroom. The system accommodates the use of a Rainshower shower head and a hand shower with an exposed thermostat valve, shower arm, hand shower union, or tub spout with 1/2-inch hose connection. Because the system is surface-mounted, it is ideal for situations where the convenience and luxury of a Rainshower shower head and a hand shower are desired but major renovations are not possible  so not only does it look great, it's practical too. It comes in chrome or satin nickel. Here is a link that might be useful: Rainshower system...See MoreAre glass blocks used in showers in style.
Comments (49)Hi Maggie 2000!! I too have a love of glass block and I am looking at retiring to MO from VA in a year or two. I will try to post pics of what I would like to do with a 1925 house I have found online that I love and has everything I am looking for. The glass block shower I have picked out for this house is available at home depot but so far I have not fully researched what all is available. If Johnfrwhipple was available I would have him do the build and remodel lol, since I really want one that has no door. I am going with a pedestal sink to stay with the age of the house and I do not need the storage space for just myself and 2 dogs. Well I cannot seem to post more than one pic so the link to my pinterest page for this house and what I would do with it. Comments (10)I'd consider replacing the whole unit. Make sure the new window is not thicket than the glass block. A lot of glass block is 3" and most vinyl is 3.25 which will be problematic. Four 8" glass block windows would use a 16x16 vent window which is a standard size and could be had for under $40. Glass block vents also come in 2 different types, one for silicone installation and 1 for mortar . A replacement vinyl window would not the correct finning for mortar installation. I would either replace the whole unit or use the correct vent window....See MoreSwap out interior glass block window?
Comments (8)We are thinking about putting a high rectangular window made of glass block in our proposed 66" shower. It might look something like the photo below. Any guesses on the size of the window in the photo? Any suggestions for changing the size of this window, or its height off of the floor? In the photo, it looks like the top of the window is a few inches below the height of the shower head. Thanks!...See Moredrsaj
