Want to close up glass block windows in shower

We're having the shower remodeled in the master bathroom. The original owners of the house had the home built with three long wavy glass block windows on the exterior stuccoed wall that were framed in and tiled around in the master bath shower. Since the exterior wall of the shower with the windows is along the walkway to the front door, we want to completely close up one of these windows from the inside only and partially close up the other two windows from the inside only to allow for more privacy and some light. We have 2 other large windows on the other side of the bathroom that allow plenty of light. The idea we're considering is to put brown masonite inside the windows before we close them up on the inside to closely match the color of the exterior stucco. Then we'd have the windows tiled over on the inside of the shower.
My concern is the exterior paint color of the home. If a future home owner wanted to paint the house a much lighter color, the brown color behind these windows would stand out like a sore thumb. We plan to live here at least 10 more years, but you never know.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
