These are lovely yellow colours but they aren’t neutral.

They are too colourful to be neutral.

I don't have any specific suggestions, but our first house was yellow with white trim and I loved it! It always looked so warm and inviting.

Yellow isn't neutral. You can choose a soft yellow, but imo that only works with a few styles of homes. What style in your house?

It depends on the style of your house. A small Cape Cod can be an adorable buttery color and a large historic home can be deeper. Or the reverse! If you like yellow, then the question is which one? Please post a photo of your house. I agree with you that there is a lot of white and grey on houses these days, but those families probably like those colors. Do whatever you want.

It is a modest mid century traditional house with warm orange/yellow hardwood floors and pink cinderblock wall marking the edges of the yard. Some updates by previous homeowners over the years. Thick stucco was added to the exterior. I'll try to upload some pics.

There are too many details to consider to give advice from just a description...a picture is the only way to get relevant advice...the picture should encompass a full view of the house showing some of the surroundings...(trees?..lot size?.)the thick stucco exterior sets off an alarm and it may be a deterrent to enhancing the MCM vibe

before i painted house beige, it was white and our front door painted bm wythe blue

this beige color doesn't tie in to brick color and is generally drab and muddy. we could paint the brick but i am not in love with this beige to begin with. i think we can do better.

I originally sought color advice for the inside of my house but have since decided on BM white dove throughout since we plan to sell. But since your kind and helpful comments all advised on the exterior, I have posted pics I had of the house before and after the roof and gutters were replaced. The current color is the tan body with dark blue front door. (I actually prefer the white body and wythe blue front door) I am stuck with the roof color, the stucco texture, and the brick. Which makes it very crazy busy. How can we achieve something more cohesive and and classic? Subtropical/mediterranean climate here so we prefer a light color body.

I'd do a crisp white stucco, black or charcoal on the trim, and a nice door color. black, red, green, etc.

these are all colors that look nice w/the red brick.

Now, if you want to paint the brick (use Romabio), I'd paint it white and you could do any color above it.

for instance, paint the brick the swiss coffee, and you could do the gray or green/blue stucco.

White stucco, black trim, blue dusk for the door. (you could also paint the brick the white or black)

Yellow would not work at all. Stucco is usually best with natural earth toned colors. I would use white or a warm white for the stucco. I like Beths example above with SW White Duck for the stucco and SW Retreat for the door and trim.

I like white for the stucco. Any reason for choosing white duck over alabaster or Greek villa? There’s too many whites to choose from!

Kiimela, it just depends on how white you want the white. Alabaster and greek villa are warmer whites that lean a little yellow.

make sure to get some samples and bring them home.

I did these three on my home, with the Swiss Coffee (Behr) on my stucco. See how dull the swiss coffee looks against a bright white? But,,,

this is how bright the white turned out on the stucco!

Also have a rental house w/Swiss Coffee and black trim. (Behr colors) It's a nice combo.

consider getting a new front door though.

if you must keep yours, paint the entire door and side lites black or red.

I'd prob just go w/Pure White if you're picking SW colors, for your place.

Paired here w/Hale Navy, both of those would look nice. Or do the charcoal. just do a dark color for the trim against the white

I really like the behr Swiss coffee with dark charcoal trim on your place. I agree it looks better for our door to paint the sidelights same color as door.

It's these. yes I used 3 diff paint companies. lol. color matching doesn't always work and I liked these 3 together. Wrought Iron is the dark color, and the platinum color is just under the roofline on the fascia

so hard to get decent pics because the sun is always behind the house. throws off the colors in the photo. I can assure you the white is not pink in person. but here you see all three colors together w/the wood accent.
