help! I need help with this small 2nd patio...don’t need setting area.
Comments (4)Does anyone comprehend this complete patio space yet? I don't. I only see two barely overlapping pictures, a third picture in which the camera changed position so it can't be part of the scene set, and a 4th picture that doesn't connect to any of the other pictures. Jdobbswood, all pictures must overlap and the camera must remain at ONE position for all of them (of a single scene.) Now that we see a bit more, I think you should have set one camera viewpoint as the left corner of the patio. And there should be another camera position opposite it from outside the brick wall, for a completely separate scene ... another set of pictures. It would also be helpful if you draw a to-scale base plan that includes the house wall, patio slab and brick wall....See MoreNeed Help w/ Curb Appeal for Boring House!!
Comments (7)If you change any of your lights, change all of them to be the same. In lieu of changing the lights, you might just add to the size of them by adding a pair of contrasting vertical panels to the exterior wall -- one on each side of the front entry door -- and hanging the lights on the vertical panels -- choose your favorite dark bold color, a color you can continue with your front patio furnishings. In front of the wall is a plant that is uniform in height; is that plant liriope? Like it, keep it, but consider moving any shrubs that are different from the area just behind and in front of them. -- and plant the same plant in front of both parts of the wall. You could use the other taller plants/shrubs beside the house to create a partial green of the house and then focus on keeping the lawn healthy and trimmed....See MorePlease Help my Boring Living Room — Need Paint Color Help!
Comments (19)@ginatay124 I completely agree about the pillows. There is a throw in the basket under the coffee table, but it’s an ehhh one. The coffee table is fairly new but I did buy it used to refinish the top. I have a qt. of Urbane Bronze and I need to sand and paint it. Previously we had an upholstered ottoman. It is now downstairs because of water cups spilling on it, etc. Our daughter is 8 so this is just easier for now. Floor lamp is a definite yes but clueless there. My husband has said repeatedly we need one, but i don’t know what style goes and does’t look like an afterthought. Any ideas? We also will need new curtains because those are off white/beige. But I’ll buy white ones unless someone here says emphatically no 😜...See MoreBoring bathroom needs help
Comments (7)Ok, I had to look up what Japandi is and may not totally have the aesthetic down. But here are a few items that might combine to be what you are looking for. It's fun learning about a new style and I can see the attraction to Japandi. Floating sink in wood could bring in the Scandi look. You'd have to see what wood looks best with your flooring. Use black faucet and black for other fixtures in the room including lighting. On the walls I like the idea of grasscloth to bring in a natural element. I'd prefer a neutral, natural color so the black fixtures can pop off it. In this case I'd use a black mirror too. If you use a greyish or blueish grasscloth you could hang a natural wood colored mirror like above to contrast the walls. Put a simple piece of artwork above the toilet that has a lot of negative space and brings in some of the colors that you like. I'm not sure what your lighting situation is but I would go minimal and contemporary....See MoreBrandon G
