Persnicketydesign, your dark wood sideboard up against the white wainscoting is beautiful! Mldao, I don't think it looks busy at all, you've set up a wonderful vignette. I love, love, love your trumeau mirror, it looks wonderful with your sideboard. Lynn, thank you so much for doing a mock-up for me!! I'm a very, very visual person and it helped me out so much. Seeing the different colors and shapes introduced really gave me a much better idea how to proceed with this! That lamp is too cute. I love the 'pop' of red with the flowers. I agree if the shelf stays, something very simple, like the black framed mirror you put up would look great. Now I just need to pull together my thoughts, start searching and implement all of your help and great ideas. :)

@jck910 Thank you! I like the round one! Yah the end tables are definitely too short and a pain when I'm drinking my coffee in the mornings. I'll look for taller ones! I think the love seat would be too short on the wall and the couch too long out into the space.

Yes the couch is already purchased. My husband insisted on leather because of the kids. I wanted a white linen couch but it didn’t work out that way. I no longer like the tv console but I can’t return it so I’m just trying to work with it. I asked my husband to move the tv down lower from the wall and the curtains higher up and that was a no as well. So I’m at a loss and just trying to make what I have work. I need a new 8x8 rug. Was going to add a Accent chair as well. Need to figure out what to put on the tv console to make it not look so far from the tv….. its a mess and I’m stressed
