What are you doing with the rest of the space. What is this an office for? Can we get creative here? Or is this a space for calls, emails... I’d probably have a desk or little nook with a bench there. the floors need to be brought up lol. Are we changing those? I like the paneling. Do you?

Thanks for your reply! I work full-time from home, my workspace requires a desk that fits a laptop and two large monitors (currently on a long wall in the same room). Much of my workday is video conferencing. The other nooks/crannies will house a drafting table for drawing/painting, sewing machine inlaid into what looks like an antique writing desk, and a full size electric piano. YES to changing the floors! Leaning toward hardwood and area rugs. I love the wall paneling, which cover every wall and the ceiling is planked as well. There's a second nook the same size on the same wall, and a small octagon window on the adjacent wall. So... it's my sanctuary but also for work. Having these things in the same room does not stress me out. I love the idea of a cozy nook... too predictable though? I'll post a photo of the room layout from my phone in a moment... the rugs are not yet purchased and current flooring is that cruddy carpet without padding (ugh).

I would put the sewing area and the drafting table each in one nook. This way it’s practical organized and symmetrical. Will look for cute ways to take care of that ☺️

instead of finding the perfect desk to fit, you can have a countertop (or thick piece of wood) cut to fit the width of nook and mount it with strong brackets. figure out how much foot / leg space you need underneath. you might be able to fit a skinny storage cart off to one side under there. if the clearance above your legs is high enough, you could install a drawer under the desktop. it won't be deep, but it could still hold scissors, chalk, drawing supplies, etc.

also, for my sewing desk, I sit on a storage stool. so many of my supplies fit in there!

I'd use those nooks for books and supplies. One could hold all of your sewing supplies another books that you use for your work (this could be a lateral filing cabinet. It might impinge on the window, but I'm not sure about that. These ideas are to hep keep your real work area organized.

Be smart and reserve the best lighted of those as your dedicated video conferencing spot for the natural light. It will make you look better and if you don't want what's behind you to be seen, get a rolling screen to station behind you or just do a green screen on your computer. Lots of DIY You Tube videos on optimizing video calls, and natural light from a window is a major item they suggest. Electrical outlets may be your nemesis in outfitting these nooks, unless you don't object to extension cords and cord covers. The nooks, which are about the size of a small closet, won't accommodate any real furniture, so they must be customized. If you actually sew, you need elbow room so I don't believe the sewing machine will work in either one. How about using one of them as a "chill" space? Build in a custom seat/storage bench for books, listening gear, snacks and other things you like to relax with, and a matching rolling footstool so you can put your feet up. Top them both with a comfy cushion and add a couple of pillows and a throw. If the room gets chilly, try an electric throw and another extension cord (keep it in the bench when not in use.) Mount a bird feeder outside the window for some amusing entertainment (store the birdseed in the footstool.) You could also just do a deep lounge like this one.
