Bathroom design dilemma
Comments (2)Sophie, thanks very much for responding, and for your suggestion. Our contractor has has already removed most of the floor and will remove the toilet to demo the last pieces of floor once we’ve purchased new flooring. After installing the new flooring, he will re-attach our current toilet. We bought our current toilet 2 yrs ago; it’s a Koehler Santa Rosa model, and we decided to keep it as the only ones we like better are “through-the-wall” types....See MoreBathroom remodel design dilemma - PLEASE HELP!
Comments (5)We plan to keep the same layout and the bathroom is not adjoining to a bedroom. I refer to it as our ‘guest bathroom’ but it’s technically used for the 2 bedrooms we have upstairs that we use for guests. :)...See MoreHELP! Bathroom design dilemma
Comments (46)I offered a layout with private vanities and walk-ins but I must say, I like my first layout: - No risk of locking some out; - Long continuous counter top (I think teenage girls would prefer that over a small private vanity); - I like the deck at the end of the tub to keep toys (or all kind of different products when they get older); - All doors are 30" wide; - More storage in closet; - More spacious overall; - More natural light; - I like a J&J in this format. One teenage girl can do her make-up while the other is in the shower. A S posted the layout in her house that is similar to the one I drew and she said it works like a charm. - I think sharing the vanity is just one other way to get siblings closer and learn the values of patience, compromise and sharing. Note that a custom order of a 2'4" wide door for the bathroom's door would be a little better (even though it does not change the space in front of the toilet) and I would slide the door the other way to be able to mount a toilet paper holder on the right wall"....See MoreBathroom (Budget) Design Dilemma
Comments (4)I think your countertop remnant is great. The floor choices don’t look like they complement it. What color is the vanity? Look fir a deep or medium solid grey for the floor. Yes, you can reglaze your tub to white. A shower curtain hides the whole thing but if it bothers you, then paint the flowered tiles and price out reglazing the tub....See Morenewenglandsara2
