Cardinal Climber or Cypress vine. 2 very different plants often confused. Even when you buy the seeds from the display at the store they are often mis named. I've always grown the one that does not self seed. People have told me the one that self seeds comes up all over the place and is not easy to control. I believe that's a Kalanchoe delagoensis, a succulent. If so, it would have tubular leaves. (I can't see any leaves in your photos.) Baby plants grow on the leaf edges: it's a real menace! Another possibility is Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi. It -- or at least some of the K. fedtschenkoi cultivars -- has similar flowers but flat, roundish leaves with dark indentations around the edge. Many double or semi double flowered Prunus persica cultivars selected at least partly for decorative purposes have been named and introduced over the years. For instance the 1996 Ten Speed Press book North American Landscape Trees by Arthur Lee Jacobson lists and describes over 50 of them. And that's just the kinds where Jacobson found indications of them being in wholesale commerce (or otherwise present in a significant way) on this continent.

They are biennials. They flower in their second year and then they die, or they struggle on as tatty plants for another year. They will not produce well again. People usually pull them before they flower. I leave a few to self sow but I am a lazy gardener.
