Chili thrips post-snowmaggedon?

Looking for a silver lining to the Mayhem created by the polar vortex dropping into Central Texas a couple of weeks ago, and it occurs to me that the chili trip invasion has hit both Florida and Texas pretty hard. I was wondering how cold it has to get to stifle chili trip infestations where they occur. Does anybody have any idea what they will tolerate?
I was thrilled to hear that tiger mosquitoes have been hit hard by this freeze, and we will probably have a blissful summer or two before they return from areas further south.
