Pollination (Title must have 15 characters??? Really?)
Comments (8)Various things can affect pollination......not just the availability or presence of active pollinators :-) Late winter/spring freezes when the blossom buds are forming is one of the most common. Some trees are alternate year bearers as well. Lack of suitable choices for cross pollination is another factor. If local pollinators are not apparent when your trees are blooming (and all other factors are considered), then look into orchard mason bees. These are very early appearing pollinators, typically active well before honey and bumble bees are on the scene and are extremely docile and easy to raise in home gardens....See MoreTesting whether you really are restricted to 15 characters for titles.
Comments (3)It was my understand that a subject title had to be at least 15 characters....not that it was limited to that. And 15 characters seems very arbitrary ;-) Another little Houzz annoyance....See MoreIced Coffee (why do we need 15 characters?)
Comments (24)I agree with Debby. Hot coffee cooled isn't nearly as good as cold brewed. I put coffee grounds in a canning jar (quart) fill with cold filtered water stir very gently just to get the water into the coffee, add a lid and put in frig or counter for 12 to 24 hours. Strain well but don't press out the coffee. Store in frig. Debby have you tried a few Tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk along with the regular milk or cream? Its soooo good and even more creamy. I think its called Vietnamese iced coffee when adding the sweetened condensed milk. I don't add flavorings to mine....See MoreMother Lithops - (why do I have to have 15 characters FGS?)
