"Rolling" Plantation Shutters for Sliding Glass Door

Linda Madden

We are looking for "rolling" plantation shutters for a sliding glass door in our new condo in Southern New Hampshire. We have this type of shutter on our slider in our Florida condo, but it was installed over 14 years ago and the company appears to be out of business (can't find online and phone number is now for another business). The best description of the product is it consists of four panels, sliding on two tracks. The louvres have to be closed when sliding over one another. The panels are free "floating" in that they aren't connected to one another and do not have any type of track on the floor. They can be slid over, two to each side, to uncover the slider completely (there is wall space on each side of the slider to accommodate this). There is a valance across the top that goes from one side wall to the other, completely hiding the tracks. The shutters are made of composite material. The closest thing I've been able to find is on a website for a company in Iowa, shutterblinds.com. However, their product is wood and they don't provide installation, just instructions for measuring, installing on your own, etc. With a project this big and expensive, we'd like to have it professionally measured and installed. Any advice on companies that could provide what we are looking for?
