Help with Coffee table and "bringing together" my family room please!
Comments (19)Hello everyone! Thanks for your awesome advice. I agree w @groveraxle. I think I may need to consider replacing my rug w something a little more orangey. We love the gray poofy rug. But I’m not sure it matches and is making the purchase of the coffee table quite challenging. I liked @BeverlyFLADeziner recommendation of the 2 x silver patina tables. They are “different”. But I think I may need to add a glass top. What do you guys think of these one? Do they clash w the sectional? The first 2 are from wayfair and I think I’d put 2 as u all recommended. The 3rd amazon and only 1. Can I keep the rug or change it for something beigier? Sorry I stink at colors! You all have been tremendously helpful!...See MoreIs this coffee table too big?? please help
Comments (39)Your home is very pretty. Thanks for the extra pics. I love the dimensions of the black table. It seems like you'd get all the function without it being too big. The black legs are really nice too. If it could have a white or white marble top think it would be even better, brighter and not heavy looking. Seeing your whole space, I wouldn't paint the front door wall. Maybe try moving one chair where the love seat is, the loveseat in the alcove and setting aside the other chair. I'd treat the alcove as a separate sitting area. You could add a few lighter throw pillows or an afghan if that's your style too....See MoreNew coffee table - Help me choose a design and materials
Comments (8)I like anything with round corners. A klutz like me is bound to run my knee or chin into square or rectangular corners!!!!! The problem is, round is a different look than square or rectangular corners. You have mostly a monochromatic look to your room, so you may want to continue with that for your coffee table. Also, your colors are mostly cool. I like to stick to all cool or all warm colors in a room. Here are cool colors: bright white, light gray, silver tones, ice cool pink, ice cool yellow, bright cool yellow, ice cool blue, royal blue, forest green, cool blue red, light ice green, purple, navy, black. Warm colors: off-white, cream, gold and brass tones, beige, tan, peach, orange, orange red. olive green, golden yellow, brown. Of course, as you mentioned, you want the coffee table to go with the kitchen, so that will be a coordinating task. Brass is a warm color....See MoreQuick help needed on possible FB coffee/tray table purchase please
Comments (40)aktillery, thank you so much! I take that as a true compliment, especially considering how much I love your style for the same reasons. I love the table so much--it's actually more beautiful in person. And because it's a little higher, you can pull stools/ottomans up and sit around it. That seems to happen a lot when we have a group here. Thanks again for your kind words....See MoreRelated Professionals
