I posted a few pics of the Jasper quartz to get an idea of how it looks. It seems to lean more gray, with a slight lavender undertone.

I see mauves, grays, silver and a touch of lavender. You sure you want a white tile?

Here's one w/similar wood floors surrounding it. (I don't like what they did here. 100% they should have continued w/the wood flooring)

you could choose a lighter color hex tile like this gray that works w/your Jasper.

The part where it meets your wood, you could feather it in like this

if you want the herringbone, I'd do a black or charcoal/gray

they do make this in a white porcelain tile if you want a lighter color

Otherwise, do a 24x24 porcelain tile like this Marbella in Griege from Tilebar. they have a charcoal too. grab some samples over there

mid century was all about color, and pink/blush was absolutely one of the colors of that time.

or, you could a herringbone w/this one. plus, it works w/your wood flooring

Not sure my husband would go for the pink. The flooring also extends behind the photograph into my dining area, so larger but not huge by any means. If doing herringbone, we planned to do in the length of the space.

We do plan to throw some color on the wall in the mid century palette.

I do like the hex tiles, though!

well it's not really pink, per se. it's a soft blush tone. and they used it extensively in the 50's. ( if the color works and looks good, would he really care? )

but, you could go for more of a grayish white in a herringbone like shown here. These are tiles. You wouldn't do all of these colors (although, I dig the blush one!)

you'd just do the white or the gray

Tulsa Bianco, Tilebar. Check over there. they have those pink hex tiles ;) but they have a ton of gray porcelain choices too

Actually, can I ask another question? If I do a gray hex floor tile, what would you recommend for a backsplash tile?

I just came across this Blue Limestone laid in a herringbone. this is gorgeous! right colors too.

honestly, I'd wait until the cabs/countertop are in before deciding on a backsplash. you don't want to do a bright white subway tile. besides being completely overdone, I don't think a bright white would be the best pick for that countertop.

I've never seen this quartz option installed, so I'm looking forward to seeing yours.

since you want the mcm option, you could do a smaller hex, or something like a geometric design
