I like it too but agree you need to decorate - window treatments, accessories, an updated chandy, etc.

Also consider painting the under side of the bulkhead Beach Glass too; when you get a new window treatment up, it will look better than white.

To marry the wood with the shade of counter and floor, gives you a couple directions w walls. If you wanted some color , not just a simple off white then this is totally fine. Greens maybe if the right one. I would not change it but rather do some other things. The eating area has so much potential. I’d be just happy the terra cotta is gone. Next: a large area rug and coordinate the kitchen fixture along w new table fixture. Definitely move into transitional style: it’s a shift that will be nice for the large space and still work w your style of chairs. Spend time w catalogues : kichler seagull and quoizel for starters. I’m wondering about the hardware on the cabs . You have a placement that is atypical along w style that could stand a change , maybe. It’s hard to see the handles in detail but if you did something it could be a nice upgrade.

Still think you should move on to some other things. Are you doing some “tweaks” to the space to keep costs down but upgrade it generally? You can come back to paint . The fridge stands out as much older. Is it time for new? Start looking as deliveries will start to get caught up probably this year. Lighting fixtures as stated along w ceiling recessed plan for your large space might be in order. If new fridge were placed the counter to the right could be changed along w some tile on the wall there maybe open shelves for a stylish little niche / not costly .

I would suggest just living with the change. You got rid of the terra cotta - be glad about that!

It's not worth the energy to fret about a paint color that is going to change in a year anyway. Spend the time and/or money that would go to a new(er) paint color on your new kitchen plans. Whether that is looking for inspiration or talking to designers or visiting tile stores to get ideas of backsplash prices, you will be ahead.

Did you pay someone to paint, or did you do it yourself? If you paid a painter then I'd say to just work with it by adding in window treatments and other things to compliment. If you painted yourself, it's really not a huge deal to repaint if you don't like it. Given that you are remodeling in about a year, I would be inclined to repaint in a creamy white that matches the floor color and do color in accents. I feel you can't go wrong with a soft white to hold you over for a year!

I like the new color. I think part of the oops feeling is that it is very different than the old color, and that can be a bit shocking.

I love it. I think its just a big change to you from the terra cotta. Finish your kitchen up, add accessories, and make sure you have the right light bulbs. It looks great.
