A Smart Mouse
Comments (9)The glue boards work wonders & you can get really cheap ones at Walmart. Just so you know, a small mouse can flatten themselves out to about the size of a dime to get thru tiny spaces. Learned that somewhere long, long ago. Haven't ever seen them chew thru dry wall but they will enlarge a drywall hole or chew thru wood. Do you have wild catnip growing up there. We have it down here & have found that if we cut it & lay it along walls (inside or out) and let it dry, it deters the mice. It is not a sure fire solution, but it sure helps. Has cut our rate of mice in my husbands shop (he leaves doors open all the time) to just a few over the winter instead of 20-30 every winter...we are rural w/crop fields nearby....See MoreHomemade mouse trap?
Comments (10)I like the bucket idea. Sounds like it might be mildly effective. But I have to tell you, every time I move into a new house it is overrun with mice that I have to deal with. It's a curse. If they get into your kitchen you will quickly lose your ideas of humane trapping. I was like you once. Perhaps we watched Cinderella one too many times. None of them are named Gus-Gus and they're not sewing us up any dresses for any balls. They are vermin and must be destroyed asap. Sounds cold, I know. But they can quickly get out of control and it will be you or them. Common "snap traps" are 80% effective. That's probably a better score than scud missiles. Get several and put them in mousey little corners EVERYWHERE. They usually die instantly. If they don't you can then drop the trapped mouse in that bucket filled with water and let it drown. Some mice might trigger the traps and not get caught. Those will most likely need poison, as they are now aware of the trap's nature. Then, some mice will develop a tolerance for the poison, so it's a good idea to rotate brands. I found the best poison was something that comes in little green cubes. Sorry, forgot the name. You'll know it when you see it. Black package. Save that one for last. This system works for me every time. (I found professional pest control people to be useless, this actually works.) And remember, if you only saw one mouse you can bet there are more. If not, that mouse will have 6 or 8 babies soon enough. Good luck. P.S. Be careful your pets don't try to eat any poisoned mice....See MoreHow to right click on Windows8RT without a mouse?
Comments (6)Yes I have the users manual, gestures are covered on pages 20 and 21, very basic touch maneuvers covered, no mention whatsoever for right click gesture. I found that from the retailer I purchased the unit from, but he isn't giving free tutorials and I sure have outworn my welcome....See MoreHow to catch the mouse or rat that eat your peach and pear?
Comments (7)With mice running rampant on the tree I'd go as far as attaching mouse traps to some of the branches and limbs with a bait that's more appealing than fruit. Peanut butter or cheese? There are also mouse attractant baits available at home Impr stores. Hopefully it's not a rat but there are rat traps too. Are you sure it's not a squirrel? aka tree rat....See Moreksmetamaid
