No help here, but I absolutely love your bathroom tile!

I would stick with all white for all the rooms - walls and trim. The bathroom tile makes a big statement, so you don't need anything else there. The kitchen floor will also be fairly busy and colorful, so once everything is finished and you have some things on the countertop, you may appreciate keeping the kitchen walls white. You could add some colorful art to the kitchen walls if you have some empty wall space. At least wait until the kitchen is finished to decide.

I would totally paint the walls in the yellow bathroom black. I think it would look so cool up against the ceiling.

for the maroon and pink, I'd do the ceiling in a soft pink, and the walls in either the gray or a white w/a pink undertone (Ibis White) stay away from yellow-whites.

the crystal antique style knobs would look great here.

for the yellow and green, most of those from that era were done in a creamy white. the tile works is the design. the wall paint should remain in the background.

as for the kitchen, so hard to pick something now without seeing the flooring installed.

Yes, we are planning to do crystal knobs throughout the house. I love the idea of light gray walls with a soft pink ceiling. The floor is pink tile as well.

We may have to paint the kitchen before the floor materials come in. Any thoughts on a yellow or other colors to bring in a more Spanish/warmer look to complement the cobalt blue liner? All our hardware pulls will be bright chrome.

I would do yellow walls and a blue ceiling that is lighter than the blue on the floor - might bring a bit of the iguana green from the bath into the kitchen as well. Not much, but enough to tie the two rooms.

I love Mexican Talavera Pottery Just a few pieces in your home could tie other rooms to your bathrooms.

I'm just afraid of doing a bright yellow. I'd stick w/a white, or a soft blue.

If you want some yellow, bring it in w/accessories like a runner or something on the countertop. make sure and add some wood cutting boards or stools, etc, to warm things up

see if any of these work.

What do you think about painting the trim work around your kitchen window a nice cobalt??

or something like Indigo Batik shade? to match the blue in the tile?

and of course a vintage school house ceiling light above the sink. this is perfect.

you could play around w/the blue colors that you like . I used the Batik one in the photo

@Beth H. :Thanks again!! We are definitely on the same page! I actually already bought that very light to put in our kitchen above the sink! I like the idea of painting the trim something other than white, but I was under the impression that all the trim through the house should be the same white? Not so? We have all new window and door casings - so we have a lot of trim to paint. I'm thinking of using Elmira or another off white for our livingroom and diningroom and wasn't sure if a brighter white would work for the trim. Thanks so much!!

it's perfectly fine to paint that window trim above the window a blue( or whatever). there is no rule that says all trim in the house must be exactly the same!

traditionally, those old kitchens were tiled around the window
1930's spanish ranch home:

This is a Tudor kitchen, but you'll notice all the color is brought in through accents. the wall color, the ceramic dishes, art, matches the linoleum.

and while the trim itself was usually white, the kitchen in those old spanish bungalows were quite colorful.

Too bad you didn't use this tile! I love this one w/the white cabs and your marmoleum flooring.

But, since you do have so much white, think about doing a 2-3" tongue and groove on the ceiling and painting it a shade of blue (or yellow)

Any chance of you continuing the tile up around the window?

If not, either paint that portion a nice blue, or do the trim in the blue (cobalt)

and save up for a cobalt stove!

BTW, I have a cool hanging piece that came from mexico and would fit your kitchen colors! are you near So Cal?
