Kitchen renovation - before & after
Comments (31)mcdermdj - Yeah, there must be some kind of built-in limit - I wouldn't think we've got low water pressure, since the sprayer is quite powerful. catmele - Thank you! We bought our countertops from a local shop in Lexington, KY. The quartz we chose (Walnut Luster by Hanstone) was $81/sq. ft. installed, and the total cost (including sink cutouts, edge beveling, delivery, and removal/disposal of old countertops) was $4700. Interestingly enough, though, I learned that most (if not all) of Hanstone's designs have been licensed to Lowe's and are sold under their Allen + Roth brand, albeit with different names - their version of Walnut Luster is called Kelsey Creek, for example. I'm not sure of Lowes' prices - though they should be the same from store to store - nor of the quality of their installation (which probably varies widely), but I know a few people who have had good results from them. Hope this helps!...See MoreComplete IKEA Kitchen Renovation Before & After
Comments (54)@sushipup1 - yep! do you have an email address? I'll send you his contact info. I don't think he's on houzz, otherwise I'd just link his profile. @The Patchman Roofing Company- Thank you so much! @Oliviag- Thank you! Honestly, for the amount of time it took, I have absolutely no complaints. From demo to done, I think all in we were about four weeks and change, including waiting for countertop fabrication. It's hard remembering there was ever a different kitchen, honestly. It's so perfect for our aesthetic and our house - it was absolutely worth it!...See More1950’s kitchen before and after
Comments (7)It is the same floor with about 3 hours of scrubbing on my hands and knees with grout cleaner. They were filthy! We used The Rock Doctor - highly recommend. It does look like a new floor. We decided to move the refrigerator to the other side (suggestion from here) and extend the wall on the other side so the cabinets wouldn’t stick out. We used a local cabinet maker and contractor for the work. The appliances are GE mid range. We bought them Labor Day and they cost a total of $2400. The cabinets and countertops (leathered granite) were $16000. Labor was $3000. We will be adding a backsplash and the estimate for that is $1000. So total will be around $25000. Not changing the floor and much of the footprint saved us lot of money. We felt we got a lot done for our money....See MoreRenovated ranch kitchen- before and afters
