Will this just look out of place? Floor and paint suggestions, please.
Comments (2)Thanks, Patricia! Yes I agree, lighting is going. I was trying to decide if I should do an interesting fixture in the laundry portion or keep it utilitarian. Would it be silly to do a hanging fixture? Maybe not this exact light but something similar. The color in the toilet area is most accurate. Here is a pic of the great room to give an idea of color of the entire house! (Not my furniture) Just had a guy out to check structure and such. Luckily the cabin was built very stoutly. I can do tile if I want, but it’s not a deal breaker. It currently has vinyl, that is cracking. It will be difficult to match the floors from the rest of the house so I’m trying to come up with a complementary solution. Happy to hear you think I can do the trim and cabinets in white. Just seems bright and clean for a laundry room. I also noticed in a lot of my saved images that the ceiling was also painted white. I could do that I’m sure....See MoreStain? Paint? Comments (5)It looks beachy as is. You can always use chalk paint to adjust the finish. Just rub the paint into the existing finish. Or try the White Wax on your existing finish to get that more distressed appearance. These beds are from Pottery Barn for $1699 You can make the bed appear more beachy with your bedding selection. Not crazy about the blue bedding. It seems a bit too literal to me....See MoreCabinet paint suggestions please!
Comments (43)Those are beautiful Herb and I would add if someone likes grays these can be easily incorporated into a cohesive color scheme, using the 60-30-10 rule to determine proportions of ea. color. One of my favs is golds, grays + whites. Its the gray upon gray upon gray that starts to look a bit funereal. Monochromatic schemes can look good, but they need to make up for lack of color variation with a good mix of different lights and darks, tones, textures, etc. Dont see that in so many of these gray gray and more gray threads. In the case of OP Ive seen blue gray + red-orange + white done in an intentional way that looked great (Ikea used to have a lot of that in fabrics etc. not sure what they have now) Maybe just apply that color scheme to the kitchen and call it a day?...See MoreExterior Paint Suggestions—Please help!!
Comments (1)Do you want to stick with green? I like warm green with cream trim. A warm green with cream trim would look good even if your windows are the brown we see there. It would just be sharp....See MoreRelated Professionals
