Bathroom Quartz Sink Depth - Can I go narrow?

Hello,

Most of you probably know by now that we are building our retirement home as I am posting many questions to ensure we get it right. Thanks to all for sharing your comments, suggestions, knowledge and experiences.

Can a bathroom countertop - Quartz with undermount sink be less deep than 21"?

Our current bathroom countertop sink ( laminate) is 21", 23" ( from wall) with a overmount sink and it looks very big if I try picturing with an undermount skin.

The other question would be if narrower countertop are being used, can I find narrower cabinets at the bigbox stores? I tried searching and only found the standard depth.

I guess I could also ask, would a standard 21" quartz countertop look good with a undermount sink?

This normally would have to be a wall hung toilet. Which requires replumbing, framing, and patching the floor where the flange was. What you are looking for is rare and expensive. I found one, but not sure on the installation specs. Here ia a link to the specs on the faucet you have chosen: https://s7d1.scene7.com/is/content/Pfister/ss-lg26-xnxx Based on these specs, plumbing-wise there is no reason that this wouldn't work, however In addition to the issues that have been raised so far (see Sammy's comment above), this faucet is very tall and will probably look out of scale. It may also be in the way for tasks like washing one's face. If you like the faucet suggested by Sammy- go with that!

The distance from the wall (that the sink goes on) to the tub is 42". I tried an 18" vainity and it took up almost half of the space! So I think something around 12" deep would be better. As for storage, I think something as large as 36" would fit, but it of course doesn't have to be exactly 36". The sink would ideally be on the right side of the vanity. Here is a pic of the wall where the sink goes. The measurement from the left side of the mirror to the cabinet is 34.5”. From the right side of the mirror to the wall is 20”, and the mirror itself is 16”

You want a 21" deep cabinet with the largest sink you can undermount, unless you like wiping up water.
