doing so well ... then hit a wall ...
Me too! Working on (edit correction) 4 and 6)
might have 6
Might have 4 but might not. Not liking it.
I've got 1, 2, and 6.
Only #3 for me.
Got 1 and 2, maybe 6, but 3, 4, 5? Making me work today!
#1 strikes me as too easy, so I've probably got it wrong. I think #6 is one of my favorite sayings, if not, it should be and 'they' are wrong, and I'm sticking to that! Haven't really looked at the rest of them yet. Headache, here I come. . . . . .
Rusty
Understood #1 and #2 and nothing else. I've decided I'm not very good at this.
#4 has put a phrase in my head and now I can't get it out so I can solve. "There's no there there". I'm trying to figure out how that could BE the solution, but I'm pretty sure it's not.
#4 is grammatically incorrect.
#6 is a phrase
“I think #6 is one of my favorite sayings, if not, it should be and 'they' are wrong, and I'm sticking to that!”
That was my first answer, too, but I’m betting you’re wrong. My second answer matches better.
#4 I’m not happy at all with my answer; pretty sure it’s wrong. But like bpath said, once you’ve got something in your mind it’s hard to move past.
"My second answer matches better."
If it does, then your second answer must be the same as my first answer. I can't imagine anything else for that one, will be interested to see your answers. :^)
I think I might have 2 and 4 now. . . . ..
Rusty
#4 is the only one giving me problems. I have a couple of solutions for #5, and I'm pretty sure one of them is correct.
Why are you ruining my Sunday? I am so bad at this.
I just started, and have #1 and 2. And I'm stuck.
Finally #3 and #6. Still need #4 and #5.
Oh, oh, I might have #6.😊
I’m still not happy with my ideas for #4. One is almost good enough to believe correct, but not quite.
Here you go!!
I patently disagree with #4 because of the grammar.
I love #6!
1. Drawn to scale
2. Round of Applause
3. Splitting Hairs
4. They're all the same
5. There's no end to it
6. Different strokes for different folks
Ok #4 was not one of my guesses. #5 I had “it goes on forever” and I’ll proclaim that close enough! #6 that was my first guess, and I’m assuming Rusty’s guess, but I didn’t see where “strokes” really worked as it wasn’t hand written, so I had changed my answer to “different types of folks.” I suppose I overthunk that one.
I just saw this this morning. But I got #1, #2 and #3 lickety split (when was the last time you heard that phrase?) and got the wrong answer for #4
As for #4, Jasdip, think of it this way: if it had said
Jasdip
Jasdip
Jasdip
we could still say they’re all the same. “There” just gives more of a clue what they’re looking for.
I got #1 and #6 right, right off the bat! On #6, the different 'fonts' represent the different 'strokes'. #2 was easy once I realized I was misreading the word, don't know why I read it as 'appaloosa' at first. :^0 Unless it was because I had been watching a horse video. I had #4 right until Jasdip's comment about grammar, was trying to come up with something else and couldn't. You explained it well, FOAS. Tried to make #5 into 'infinite', and couldn't, and never would have stretched rabbits into hairs, (hares). Can't help but wonder about the people that come up with these, but they sure are fun!
Rusty
That‘s funny Rusty, it took me inexplicably long to read applause!
I didn't get #4, and I thought #3 was Rabbit Hole. #1, 2, & 6 were the easiest.
I initially thought applause said applesauce and had to slow myself down to read it correctly.
Worst puzzle for me
Nice to know I'm not the only one having trouble reading in a circle!
:^)
