Early to mid May is good. I may have gotten ahead of myself in saying we would be interested in an in person due to my enthusiasm over having gotten our shots. We are more likely to participate in the virtual version so time to set up porch pick ups is good. i don’t mind offering our offerings on line for porch pick ups/trades in advance. Not sure what we will have yet. This is our first year doing seedlings so we didn’t plant a ton. Usually we bring extras from the yard.

Thanks for the kind words "Sabji garden" I am Srini - an electrical engineer by profession, from south India. Me and my family moved to Cary in 2016. This year I have spending more time gardening. Started off with a kitchen garden - herbs, the usual tomato/ cucumber/ bell pepper etc; inherited some Hostas and Cannas. I also have Gardenias, Hibiscus, Hydrangea, Azalea, Jasmine, Coleus, Begonia plants. Inspired by Niren (who introduced me to this group and is my trusted adviser in all things green) I am trying to grow more native and/or pollinator friendly plants - got started off with Crocosmia, Hannas, Rudbeckia, Salvias, Honeysuckle, Passion flower + some Strawberry too :-) I am also trying to grow fragrant flowers - hopefully those that last into Fall when the Indian festival season starts. :-) -Srini

Thanks everyone for coming. I was surprised at the turnout. There will be a fall swap sometime around the end of September so pencil it in. For those of you that came over for a home garden tour at my house - to put things in perspective, When I moved into the place in February of 2010 it was a blank slate except for the giant Poncirus trifoliata (which I failed to point out on the tour), a large camellia and two ancient muscadine vines, so everything you saw was planted after that. The cactus garden was planted in 2012. The greenhouse was built in 2013. The fruit trees and vines were planted starting in 2011 and new ones get added every year. The tropical fruit trees stayed small while in pots but once I planted them in those wire 'cage pots' they spring into life and take off. Also, for the ones grown from seed, I kept only the most vigorous growers and those trees grew way faster than normal. I will add that I get more fruit from the trees in the greenhouse than I ever do from the trees outside in the ground. Thanks for coming by.

I think it would be safest if we did this one like the last one and didn't have food afterward. I will be masked and try my best to follow health dept guidelines. I don't have a hand held thermometer so all I can ask is that if you think you have a fever, please stay away. Most of what I am bringing is houseplant/tropicals and I doubt I will get everything tagged.
