#6 The sound "th" + its location, under=THunder storm

I only got floor model and multiple choice when it was first posted. I almost never get more than one or two though, so it's not surprising!

I was right on #'s 1, 2 and 3. I thought #6 was 'stand off'. As for #4, it's kind of funny. "Back to the Future' did briefly cross my mind, but then I read Fun2B's hints. Having no idea of what 'McFly' might be, I figured my idea was wrong. No way I'd ever come up with 'midwife' for #5, but it makes perfect sense when you see it. My mind was hung up on something to do with splitting up with the wife, divorce, something along those lines. Rusty

Sometimes I get fixated on a wrong solution and it takes me longer to get it right. Like #1, I kept wanting it to be "split lip" even knowing that that would look different. Took me awhile to get tulips. #4, I had "go into motion", which I think also works.

The Beatles song is "Let It Be" and the Mamas & Papas song is "Words of Love," which was supposed to be a clue for "Words of Wisdom," which is contained in the lyrics ("speaking words of wisdom...") of "Let It Be." Of course if you did not know the answer, you would not know which Beatles song to look for.

Hah! For #4 i thought ”low-end model”, or ”miniature model”. Oh well!

I think it would have taken me another day to get “Decide”. And a week to get “Multiple Choice” if ever!

D-side and floor model are kind of similar, visual clues.

#1 I thought might be D-void.

Well, so much for thinking I had some of them. But I did have #3 and #5 right. Never would I ever have gotten #6. Are these getting harder or am I getting dumber?

I reasoned out number 6 by thinking the TH under storm was a clue for the type of storm. Then I tried to figure out what type of storm it was and came up with thunderstorm. I have no idea if that makes sense but that's what my brain did. I'm dumb in general and am miles behind the class usually but got two right as I also got #3. I am truly not good at these or puzzles usually.

The only one that jumped out at me, when I saw the puzzle, was floor model. The others I had no clue.

I was a good student thru high school and college and do a crossword puzzle every day but if I want to be brought down a peg or two, these puzzles will always do it. Some part of my brain is not functioning.
