Comments (13)I am not sure if I got this story right, it's been a while since I heard it. But it is true. There once was a little boy, maybe eight or nine, who wanted to be a gymnast. He spent hours on his jungle gym and monkey bars, building his strength and training himself to do things. That was his only goal, to be a famous gymnast like Olga- she was his hero. (I forget her last name. She won a gold medal in the olympics, I think.) However, he contracted a disease that weakened and eventually killed him before he turned eleven.His parents, naturally were heartbroken to watch him suffer, but even more so in understanding that his one dream would never come true. One year after he died, they happened to look at the mokey bars, now sadly empty. But underneath the bars, where the earth was packed as hard as iron, were two blood-red lilies. Comments (34)Regarding the herbal teas: I am a big fan of Celestial Seasonings -- Red Zinger, Mixed Berry Zinger. I make "refrigerator iced tea" -- just put a few packets in a plastic jug, add cold water, pop in the fridge and wait a few hours. Delish; no need to add Splenda or whatever. Last time I stocked up on them when they were on sale at the grocery store, the clerk probably thought I was reselling them on the black market or something! My other non-soda beverage of choice is cold water with something I've mentioned on a post here about favorite finds: True Lime, crystallized lime (they're the consistency of granulated sugar). And the trip home thro Toledo went well, mainly because I bypassed Toledo all together and took the long way home. Anything to save stress and anxiety! Glad you liked it, but the applebutter was to be used with the recipes. Drat. Let me know. I totaled up the points from the bingo words for the past 3 days and here's what we ended up with: The Crisps garnered 7 points and the Macs got two. I'll post a points update tomorrow afternoon, along with the list of who sent and who received, and all the rest of the catching up! And last, but definitely not the least - Erica, where did you find that book? It was perfect! Ladies, I opened my package from Erica tonight, and she sent me a recipe book called, can you believe this, "An Apple A Day"! Unbelievable! It has 365 recipes, enough for a whole year.
