IMO defeats the whole point of wall ovens . So why not just get a 36"range with 2 ovens . Wall ovens are installed to allow for ease of use this idea IMO is not practical. Just because you see it in a picture does not make it right and those ovens you show are tiny so really a two oven range would be better.

36" ranges do not usually come with 2 ovens! Maybe Patricia means a 48" range?

The 2 ovens shown aren't tiny, specially if they are similar in size to the Miele 24" Convection steam oven XXL size.

I would prefer the set up in the photo to a 48" range, which has one large oven and one small oven, which I found one to be too large and the other too small for everyday cooking. I've owned two 48" ranges and wouldn't do it again, due to the too big/small oven sizes.

Other manufacturers don't seem to address the possibility in their installation guides.

Because, as per the first response, it defeats why the vast majority of users install wall ovens: convenient height. Though clearly not everyone buys into that rationale either. Witness below.

Alternatively, consumers can buy 48" and 60" free-standing ranges with two ovens in one package.

But two wall ovens under a cooktop or rangetop may be a less expensive alternative.

I just vastly prefer the look and care of a cooktop installed into the counter vs. a slide-in unit. And, I don't want to give up upper cabinets in my configuration for double wall oven. I have plenty of lower space to give up.

JuneKnow, TY!! I just checked and in fact, a 'normal' 30" wall oven will not fit under cooktop with a standard toe kick height. So, this idea off the table. I don't want to pay for special toe kicks. Thank you!!

Maybe give Wolf customer service a call to see if they can help. I have Miele ovens under the counter with toe kick drawers under them. Mine flank the range top as I don't like standing in front of an oven.

why would anyone want two ovens below their cooktop? if you're standing at the cooktop cooking, you have the oven right below you? how inconvenient, and hot! (like a range I guess. which I haven't had in 35 years!)

this is so much easier to use ( the back thing) and looks better)

if you're tending to the oven and the stove top at the same time, it's so much easier to have this set-up

3 is bit much, but if you have a large family, this would work. (why not just do a range?)

Beth H., I find ranges to be enormously convenient. I WANT the oven or ovens below a cooktop, or in my case, put together as a range. I often sear or brown something, then toss it below to braise or roast. I've never found working in front of an oven to be "too hot " - and I say this as someone who would never retire to Florida, because that is indeed too hot!

artemis, I get you. i have my ovens less than two steps from my stovetop, so it's very convenient as well. (and I don't have to step aside to open the door which would be hassle for me because my stovetop is right in the corner of a L configuration.) I suppose if it was across the kitchen it would be a pain to walk back and forth.

The great part is, not having to bend over to get anything out of the oven. you can't argue that one!

so, I guess it depends on the layout of the kitchen.

Better yet, ergonomically speaking, side-by-side wall ovens.

We were hoping to do this in our new build with Bosch or Thermador units. Our cabinet guy said he could build a cabinet to make it work, but our appliance rep (and primarily his brand reps) said they wouldn’t stand behind the install in this configuration. We decided to split the two undercounter ovens, with a stack of cabinets directly under the cooktop and the two ovens to either side. I know it’s not ideal and would get torn apart by the kitchen gurus here, but it is what works best for us in this situation. We use two ovens a lot, I don’t particularly care for using the top oven in a stack (I’m short and don’t like lifting/lowering things at head level), and our options for stacking ovens this kitchen seemed to really close it in and limit countertop space. So this is what worked best for us.

Looks really odd. My first thought is that you either ran out of space or money...it looks like a weird compromise.
