HELP! Outdoor light fixtures.

Does anyone know what type of mount this is? We wanted a flush rectangular mount and this one is about 2 inches out from the siding and the wrong shape. Is this an easy fix?

It's a plastic flange. They make a variety of shapes sizes. Painting it to match the siding would be the fastest/easiest way to camouflage.

Thanks for the link, there are many lights there that I like. I would post a photo of our exterior, but we're still waiting for the stone to be done, so I don't know how helpful that would be. Any advice on what color to stick with? We were thinking we should probably stay with white, but I love the aged bronze/copper look too.

LED, 2700K, 200 to 400 lumens (that's 25 W equivalent to 40 W equivalent). With as many lamps as you seem to have, I think 200/lumens per lamp would be adequate. Sydney's suggestion of a dusk-to-dawn sensor is a good one. There are lamps that come with this feature built-in, or you can get adapters that screw into the socket that have the photocell and control. separate from the lamp

Oh boy - it is so frustrating when the siding company cheaps out on the details! We had to research all the mounting blocks for our exterior lighting in order to get the look we wanted, and not the big gaps like you got on this one.

Search for "Arlington siding mount kits" and also "Builders Edge mounting blocks". I think everything is made in white, but they are paintable.

I use Benjamin Moore paint for most everything, but if I need an EXACT color match, I will go to Menards.

See Vinyl Siding Mounting Block (Home Depot). Unfortunately, they seem to be square.

HIre a carpenter...........they can make one for about 10$ is material plus time. What your guy did is not ask before installing something obviously not size correctly

If its plastic siding I recommend using a plastic surface block made for that kind of siding. Some are notched to fit the siding and some have a lip like the one in the photo. You might find the existing octagonal unit looks better that a rectangular one so try painting it first.

No they asked us about all other siding related options except this one. This is what we are looking for but ours seems to not be flush?

Your example picture isnt flush either its just the proper scale and mount.
