Bungalow Oak Park, Raised 5-panel doors, closet doors? wainscotin
Comments (2)I'm a fellow bungalow owner in Oak Park (N. Lombard), but ours is brick! We restored features in our home to also match what we think was original and we found doors at Jan's Antiques on N. Racine in Chicago. Have you checked there? Jan's prices are reasonable. All our closet doors match the other doors in our home. Also, and this will sound crazy, check with other bungalow owners on your block...many of the homes on 1 block were built by the same builder and have the same interior features. A few of our neighbors, because of their own projects, had extra doors standing in their basements. We retrieved crown molding from one of our neighbors. We have wainscoting in our dining room and it's the shaker style flat panel that you mention. Our doors have 2 recessed panels (small on top and large on bottom) and the paneling looks great. Our dining room, with all original woodwork and built-ins is the reason we purchased our home. What absolutely works in our dining room is that all the wainscoting, doors, baseboard and window trim is stained the same color. I think wainscoting and your doors will be just fine! Good luck with the projects you are undertaking!...See MoreNatural Red Oak 5 inch wide Mohawk, Sommerset, or Bruce?

Comments (3)Tania Clasen, I'm considering Highlands Oak, if yours is installed and you are willing, I'd love to see a photo or two and know if you are happy with your choice. Highlands Oak has a very "authentic wood floor" look to me....See MorePics of Mohawk Dodford Bordeaux Oak?
Comments (0)I'm choosing LVP from our builder and the one I like is Mohawk Dodford Bordeaux Oak but I'd like to see it in a photo first. Does anyone have this in your house or can find a picture? I have searched all over and can't find anything!...See MoreRelated Professionals
