'Feature' window for tiny bathroom-suggestions?
Comments (3)Thanks for the replies. Palimpsest, sounds like you found some beautiful windows but at those prices plus the cost of opening the wall and installing the window I can see why you might have decided against that expense. Wow. I'm sure glad that it will be DH doing the work as I couldn't afford to hire him even if the window comes in at your lowest price. I like the idea of an octagon just for the visual interest. Steve, the window you describe sounds like exactly what my practical DH is looking for. I'll check out the Integrity web site. I love the idea of no water problems. In a 50 year old house there are currently a few moisture issues around the tub and the need to be free of those is the thing that has finally bumped the bathroom to the top of the "must do" list. The price seems right on that window too. I've also been looking on Craigslist for new resale windows. There seems to be quite a few available that were purchased for projects and then not needed. But these are mostly the usual shapes and sizes as far as I can tell....See MoreHelp! need suggestions for wall and accent wall colors!!
Comments (2)I'm a fan of Porter's "Beige Telin" in flat, (or flat enamel which has less sheen but is washable). I've also used Porter Cashmere and Palomino colors too (they are beige/brown tones). I think if you Google search that you can see pics of it. I have "plant shelves" too and I've always heard to go darker than the wall color if it's an accent....See MoreColour help what colour wall would go with these. Also want a feature
Comments (8)Beautiful drapes. Definitely use a light tan as similar to the background of your drapes for your wall paint color as you can find (or lighter but not darker) and consider taking a drape panel with you to the paint store. Try to find a tan without any pink or yellow hue. Definitely would not want wallpaper in this room. Much too likely that it would clash with those floral drapes. You might use a non- floral (geomtric or striped) wallpaper trim tape at the top of your wall -- but in a different room -- for your wallpaper wall rather than adding wallpaper to an entire wall. One wallpaper option might be to wallpaper the back wall of a bookshelf -- something much more easily removed from any room if you find it doesn't work well visually....See Morelooking for paint color suggestions for this wood feature wall(bedrm)
