Would you stick with the briarwood for the entire outside (stucco and siding) or pick two complementary colors? Yes. Don't do two colors. It would chop up the aesthetic. One color will have more curb appeal impact. btw I am loving the SW alpaca color SW7702. Do alpaca and briarwood complement each other? Technically, yes. You'd have to test carefully and check the pair under different lighting conditions because Alpaca could shift purplish.

Your shutters look black, and I would not change them. I would however change the door color, to a nice bright color. Red would work. (maybe a rusty type red). Your landscaping looks a bit overgrown, and should either be replaced, or at least cut down considerably. The flat tops on the right by the garage? are yews? They need some major help and get rid of the squared off tops. Very nice house and looks well maintained.

Really nice house. Would not paint the brick -- not ever. You might consider removing the two trees leaning toward the house before a storm --wind storm and/or ice storm or even lightening -- puts them on your roof. While you already have room to create a portico, if you remove the two trees, you'll have plenty of room for a larger front porch -- either one will look good with forward facing gable with its ridge point the same height as the gable on the left side and it would be a good idea to make a decision on that before replacing the roof. If you've been considering enlarging the house to extend the upstairs over the single story section on the left end of the ground floor and/or adding a porch or room elsewhere, Decide that before redoing the roofing. If a new roof is needed, make that your priority. medium/dark gray shingles are as close to neutral as shingles get. Newer metal roofs now have an extended warranty. Talk with your homeowner insurance company and see if they can give you any information about how metal roofs age in your geographic location that might help you make your decision. Probably would not choose metal myself with that style house -- they tend to look better with steep roofs. Siding color you have is neutral and works well with the brick so if it doesn't need changing, wouldn't make that a priority.

Thanks for the tips, Lulu. The door is of course 36" with 4" of trim on each side = total 44". And the windows at 40" plus 2" brick molding = total 44". So should be pretty close. And the interior has been accounted for. But this leads to my next question...should the side windows be less wide than the front? Or same width for consistency? Each of the 4 rooms on the front of the house have side windows. And originally, we had 40" on the front, and 36" on the side. If we were to take the front down to 36", does that mean the side should go down to say the next standard width, like 32"? Or does the front and side both at 36" still make sense from a design perspective. Not sure what is typical... I included side perspectives below to give you an idea of what I mean:
