Hardwood Floor Stain color and Trim Color help
Comments (1)I don't see anything wrong with your idea as long as the lighter color stain is a complimentary shade that blends well with the flooring and everything else going on in the house....See MoreHELP!!! Exterior trim color help needed!
Comments (5)Hi kled, I really think - especially with such a large lovely structure - that this is a job for a professional designer. Having gotten that out of the way, I recently replaced all my fascia (and replacing gutters too) which was painted a dark red. It looked okay on my red-orange brick house, but I wanted something lighter colored. I finally chose a sand-tone color. But, how did I choose? Well, I took a photo of a wall that was fairly representative, in decent light. And then I looked at it on my computer to see if the colors seemed pretty accurate. Then I loaded the photo into a graphics program and "selected" the red fascia and gutters and experimented with substituting with different colors - via the graphics program. I'd like to tell you that I'm completely happy with the sand-tone color I ended up with, but the jury is still out on that. But, I think I'll like it (Once I get all the gutters & downspouts installed and trim painted). There are so many ways to go with color - really hard to advise someone else....See MoreExterior lower level color and trim color help Pls!
Comments (3)Hi, I got your message. I would paint ALL trim including post & shutters SW 7064 "PASSIVE". If it is now white, paint it SW 7064. It is a lighter shade of the Peppercorn. Also try the garage door in the trim shade. Then paint the front doors the reddish-terracotta color that is one of the brick colors. Trim the tall bushes in front of the house...maybe something tall(er) just off the corner to the side....See MoreTrim Color Help - Hamilton Blue shed please!
Comments (11)Yes the Hamilton Blue (green!?) was meant to go on all — and we want it to recede — It is in thin woods, is visible from the road and is still a surprise to the neighbors. Kinda stands alone but someone is building behind. Finally staining to protect after 5 years! It’s a working shed - not a house or she-shed (I wish!!) — so I am afraid to be too fancy and multicolored. Hmmm. I am so color-challenged. Pathetic! Ben Moore site says Manchester Tan HC-81. Afraid would look dirty. Can one mix tan with gray (roof?). Going to be nicer than the house. Thank you!!...See MoreRelated Professionals
