Never 'top' a conifer unless it's much taller than you want, then do a proper chop (halfway or wherever) and wire up the next branch below the cut to form a new leader. Comments (22)Well, If you are making a "fondue" with velveeta and canned soup....Wonder bread is likely a fine choice LOL!...but if you are making a real fondue with real cheese and wine to go with your very expensive lobster tail, cubes of French or Italian bread are used. Comments (1)Chocolate Fondue 1/2 cup butter 180g dark chocolate 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 cup evaporated milk 1/4 cup (plus 2 tablespoons) orange liqueur plain cake. cut into 2.5cm cubes bananas, cut into chunks fresh fruit (apples, pears, cherries, peaches, pineapple, strawberries) marshmallows In saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Add sugar, milk and salt. Bring to the boil, cook over medium heat at a slow rolling boil, stirring constantly for 5 minutes until thickened. Cover and refrigerate until needed. When ready, heat chocolate sauce in microwave 20-23 seconds. Add liqueur, stir to combine thoroughly. Serve immediately with fruit and cake. A tablespoon or two of your favourite liqueur may be added. Try Tia Maria, Irish Cream or Grand Marnier or a little rum. Or add a few drops of peppermint essence, or a few chopped almonds. For Two: Pour one cup warm chocolate sauce into dessert fondue pot and place over burner. BAGNA CAUDA (3 oz) Jar Anchovy Fillets 1/2 Cup Milk 35 Medium Garlic Cloves, Smashed And Peeled 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter 1/2 Cup Olive Oil Raw Cleaned Vegetables For Dipping Place the anchovies in a bowl with the milk and let sit for an hour. Drain and pat dry. To heat in a microwave oven, place the butter, oil and garlic in a glass or ceramic casserole dish. Add the anchovies to this mixture, cover with plastic and cook on high for 6 minutes. Uncover carefully and blend in a blender or food processor until smooth. To serve for a party, place in a small chafing dish or fondue pot and offer a selection of fresh, raw vegetables and chunks of crusty bread....See Moremodernfun
