Pizza Dough Recipe for Bumblebeez
Comments (5)I like the flavor of Provolone. It doesn't get like a piece of rubber, when it cools a little. This was brought up a while back. Now I found out a lot of the members are using it. But I also use it with Mozzerella. Chopped small and mixed. Sometimes I use 4 Cheeses mixed. Lou...See MorePizza Photo's for Bumblebeez
Comments (12)Hi Lou, this is such a timely post. DH decided that it's time to branch out from his 2 specialties - crepes and meat on the grill - and learn to make pizza from scratch. He was hoping to make some for Super Bowl Sunday, as we'll at the lakehouse and far, far, away from any delivery pizza. Your pictures look great. I'm pretty new here (how long can I say that?....)and I don't recall seeing your recipe for dough & sauce. Perhaps it's been posted and I just missed it because I wasn't in a pizza state of mind. Have you shared it? How can I locate it? Thanks -...See Moreshout out to Bumblebeez
Comments (5)I'm happy to share the recipe, but I cannot guarantee the results if you use non Maine blueberries ;-) For the above pictured cake I used my last slightly shriveled Meyer Lemon, and it was incredible, I cannot believe how delicious and different the flavor was from a cake made with traditional lemon. If only I could grow Meyer Lemons in Maine.... Maine Wild Blueberry Cake 1/2 c unsalted butter, room temperature 1 lemon, zested 1 c granulated sugar 2 eggs, separated 1 t. vanilla 2 c flour 1 t baking powder 1/2 t kosher salt 2 c fresh or frozen Maine wild blueberries 1/2 cup buttermilk Preheat the oven to 350F. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add about ü cup of the sugar to keep them stiff. Cream butter with lemon zest and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and vanilla and beat until combined. Toss the blueberries with about 2 T of the flour to keep them from settling; whisk remaining flour, baking powder and salt together. Add the flour mixture to the batter a little at a time, alternating with the buttermilk. Fold in the beaten whites, then gently fold in the blueberries. Bake in a lightly buttered 8ÃÂ8 baking pan for about 50-60 minutes....See MoreDoes your powder room vanity match your kitchen cabs?
Comments (13)Thank you all for your suggestions and pictures. billl - good point about the dust collecting strips - I agree either against the wall or room for cleaning between. enduring - thanks for the link, although I think my architects violated most of the suggestions - they seem to be more form over function - but it's only the powder room - our bathrooms were designed and built in 1939 - so of course they violate most of the suggestions too. Good luck with your reno pricklypearcactus - I'm meeting with the GC and finish carpenter to discuss a built-in. I was thinking if it had 3 drawers and feet instead of the standard cabinet doors, it would look more like furniture even if it is built in. In the case that I go with RH - how do you like the quality? kfhl - thank you so much for pointing out the baseboard issue. I completely forgot that. mydreamhome - it's a renovation, but we're bumping into what was our original attached garage. Unfortunately the plumbing is already installed. But, give that the door hinge is on the opposite side of your hinge, I think you'll never see in the room from the entry - only from the mud room. nini - lovely vanity and I absolutely love the black granite w/white bowl look - but it would end up being the fanciest piece of furniture in our entire house :) Does the black granite show a lot of waterspots?...See MoreBumblebeez SC Zone 7
