Replacing Kitchen Cabinet Doors & Drawers
Comments (2)Thank you for the recommendation. Middletown is about an hour away from here; they may or may not travel that far. However, I did find a company, GoebelWoods, who is able to do it. They did my friend's kitchen cabinets (not just doors) several years ago and she was happy with their service. I called, they came out the next day and called me with a quote later that day! Price seems reasonable and the quality looks good. They use Conestoga Wood for their doors, as do many other companies, including Kraftmaid, that do refacing. Lots more options to choose from than if I chose Kraftmaid through HomeDepot. Doors & drawers will come finished and with my selected hardware and hinges. I will then need someone to instal them and paint the face frames....See MoreAdvice needed on replacing cabinet doors & drawers
Comments (4)Door styles are; Mediterranean (inside and flush with the face frame) Full or flush overlay (flush with the outside of the face frame with internal or external hinges) 3/8 overlay (external hinges where 3/8 of the door fits inside the cabinet door opening) What are the brand of the new hinges? Does the new dwr boxes include new dwr guides and are they side mounted or just frame rollers?...See MoreMis-measurement prevents opening of kitchen drawer and door
Comments (12)That looks like a full overlay door? Do the drawer insides clear the trim? If so, if you want a smaller fix, they can change the pullouts to drawers and order less wide drawer fronts that are slightly mounted to the left to clear the trim on the right, and add a small filler on the right. You will only need about an inch to clear the door trim. If you want to keep pullouts you will lost more horizontal space than with changing to drawers. You may even be able to remount the top drawer front towards the left (with filler for the gap) and clear the trim but there is no such solution for the doors on the bottom unless they are changed to drawers....See MoreReplace garage door opener head unit & use the same rail?
Comments (2)I'm a little confused as what you're trying to accomplish. Since Chamberlain makes Liftmaster the odds are pretty good the rails will be the same but given that the rail is pretty easy to put together and install, why bother. The rails will come with a new unit (unless you're trying to piecemeal things). If the motor on your old opener runs but the trolley doesn't move there's a good shot that a couple of nylon gears inside are shot. It's a common problem with Chamberlain/Liftmaster openers. A repair kit is available for about $30 online or from a garage door shop....See Morewatsonl3
