Layering subfloor for porcelain tile

trying to do some research before getting quotes for 19x19 porcelain tile install.

I currently have a single layer of tongue and grove plywood as a subfloor. I intend to install a 19x19 porcelain tile on ditra uncoupling membrane.

should I ensure that the contractor lays another layer of plywood on top of subfloor prior to install? Anyone with advice/experience as a homeowner and/or contractor who has experienced this issue would be great!
