How about a picture of your home? The floor is already there I assume?

It’s fine to go with the gray. But there are better options out there. I happen to like how the bed looks with carpet... but if that’s out I’d avoid gray because it’s more of a trendy color ...Won’t be here much longer in my opinion

To reply to all of your comments, we already made the decision of going grey floor and our home is being built. It will finish by February and I will have pictures.

We were told grey is outdated and not warm enough. We will wanted that though because we like rugs and plants. We wanted to bring those elements up and with a brownish floor it was hard.

It's a good thing you like area rugs. You will need a REALLY BIG ONE to separate the wooden bed (beautiful BTW) with the gray-mouse flooring. The oranges/gold tones in the wood do NOT like to play nicely with gray. They can clash badly.

So you use a LARGE area rug to separate the two. In fact, the area rug will be so big (how big SJ?), it will be sooooo big it will turn out to be 'wall to wall'.

I love the bed. Ignore the floor. You already purchased the floor so you are stuck there. Simply suck it up and purchase a very very large area rug to sit underneath the bed...and really needs to sit underneath all 4 corners of the bed...including the floating side tables.

I agree, that's why I was thinking of going white or just black bed!! Or as suggested a large area rug, but wall to wall is impossible to find unless its all carpet.

We will go with a Grey, black or white bed and the sofa as well.

That if your gray wasn't the same warm in tone as the brown and was instead a cool gray, (conflicting tones), then you'd be back here asking how to make the two compliment each other. Can you wait to make a decision on the bed until the floor is installed? It will be easier to make a decision once you actual see the room and floor. At the worse, you can get the mattress and sleep on that until the bed arrives.
