(HomeDepot and Wayfair carry it under their IvyHill line) So you're building a new home and paying people to do the home like you want, and you aren't allowed to use certain tile? her tile guy will "only do certain tile" ?? sounds like her tile guy (and her) get a monetary incentive to use a certain company. If you purchase the tile yourself, w/your money on your dime, and have it at the new build, will they install it? How about you just don't do a backsplash, move in, and hire a tile person to install the tile you want? For your bathroom shower, I guess you'll have to pick something else. Or, advise your builder you want a diff tile contractor. This is so ridiculous. If I'm paying people to build my home, they better use the materials I want. (unless this is a tract home?? ) BTW, any further questions, please start your own post.

I’m very satisfied with how Avalanche turned out. Very neutral in matching—not bright, not dark. Make sure you have a skilled installer for smooth finish. Apparently, ours wasn’t and our tiles aren’t smooth and it’s a rustic look which is okay but would rather it be smooth. But I couldn’t tell until installer washed grout off and too late. Also if you use Cloe, since the tiles are variegated colors, lay them out ahead in order you want, to avoid areas of same color or other undesirable pattern. Consider stacking tiles for a more non-traditional look. All that being said, I love this Cloe tile.

It is always helpful when you post pictures to help folks visualize your choices and issues. I've pulled some photos from the web and added them here. I'm sorry - I just cannot see these choices together. I think the colours in the floor tile are too vibrant for the baby blue Cloe. The Cloe really would pair well with a light neutral colour. Tilebar has a huge selection and you can order 5 samples for $5. If you feel you want/need a patterned floor, then maybe you can find something like this hex to work with the Cloe - predominantly white with some blue accents. Maybe Terrazzo style appeals. I know you've said you don't like the marble you have now - but there are some porcelain versions that are very nice and much easier to maintain. All shapes and sizes available in that option.
