Help! Help! I need your input on the design of my 2nd floor
Comments (4)Here's a sketch of what you could do. There are other options to arrange the master part but just to get started. Note it is not to scale. Just a sketch, but I kept some of the measurements in mind as well as wall thicknesses to see that it would fit. I used 4.5" for interior walls. Also couldn't see where all the windows were so this may not work with the windows. Now this assumes you have full standing height in all spaces shown. I'm not sure you do though, but it isn't marked where that starts and stops on the drawing....See MoreDual vanity question- please help!
Comments (3)Thank you Davidandkasie for your quick reply. The back of the vanity has 2 removeable panes on either side of the drawer units. I guess i assumed that the plumbing would run out there and into the wall. I'm just upset because the reason I chose this vanity was because I wanted to have drawers and this new plan to run the pipes will eliminate some of those. . . Do you think that the plumber forgot that we were supposed to have a double vanity and now this is a patch the contractor has come up with so as to not run new plumbing?...See MoreHelp! Help! Comments (6)hollysprings - Thanks for the heads up. You seem to assume that PRO's aren't involved. As far as the structure goes - all steel, lvl's, ridge beams, joists, rafters, etc.,etc., etc., have been engineered. So there is no doubt that it will not fall down around my ears. What I need is folks opinion on layout, not on structural elements.....do you have any suggestions that way?...See MoreDesparately need your help before I fire my designer
Comments (28)I spent a lot of time, money and effort on my shrine (which, BTW, is over the range and there is *nothing* wrong with putting one there) and when my in laws were at my house last weekend, they didn't even mention it! And my shrine is MUCH nicer than that wreck they call a shrine. Then, this morning, my SIL came over and didn't even mention my new shrine! I could just smack her!!!!! I mean, I had a shrine way before she did, in fact, I introduced her to the whole concept of shrines and then she has the nerve to come to my house and not even say that she likes my new shrine!!!!!! Who could not love it, it's the PERFECT shrine, in fact, it's the ONE TRUE SHRINE, it's white, inset, has soapstone and there is not ONE INCH of shiny brass on it. I am so mad at her I could just spit and I don't think I can even enjoy my shrine now, she has ruined it for me. sandyponder...See MoreJAN MOYER
