Fix Dent in Oven Door?
Comments (7)BE SURE!!!!! To inspect the oven cavity for cracks, flaking etc, especially in the area that rhome had problems. We don't how that dent occured, (Hopefully not from dropping it)! Also check the alignment of the door, and if all possilbe turn on the oven and start a self clean, just long enough to see if the door will lock, but more importantly, will it unlock? (Note Breezygirl's comment in your post in Kitchen Forums). Also there was a modification to the doors on the "L series" Wolf's for modifications to the lock assembly,("A pin that corrodes") as I recall, and this generated an error code. I would have to go back and read your post in the appliance forum, but are you getting a warranty on it, and hopefully from Wolf? I'm not trying to discourage you from buying it, sounds like a good deal, I'm just trying to save you from some "Aw Sh**s" on down the line! Best of Luck! Comments (88)After much shopping around and when I mean "much" I truly mean it. After looking at Miele, KitchenAideand Wolf I decided Bosch offered the best induction for me. I went for 36" induction, 30" wall oven with microwave/convention/speed oven. So far loving them all especially the induction, it's everything I hoped it would be and more. I find I use the cooktop more and the microwave less because I can reheat things quicker via induction than microwave! Flexi zone is great but finding it hard to find a grill pan to fit as I don't won't to spend $350 on a Bosch one. Crazy pricing. The top is so easy to clean. My only thoughts are if you are looking for something impressive in your cook space this isn't it, but I wanted function over looks. Yes I would have loved a sleek six burner chrome gas range but I didn't want all the cleaning that goes with it. I find the response time amazing on the induction from boiling rapidly one minute to a slight simmer seconds. It melts chocolate beautifully and so far I haven't burnt a thing. The timer is useful for my kids as they sometimes forget they have put their mac and cheese on to cook. Great for boiling eggs as the induction element will turn off when the time is up. No more burnt-out saucepans for me. Once I have figured out how to transfer my pictures of my cooktop and oven I will do this. I truly believe with the flexi-zone and the timer the Bosch beats Miele and Wolf hands down. Why they didn't add these features to their induction I have not idea....See MoreHave you had this problem with stainless steel appliances?
Comments (12)My white fridge had a few dents in it...it's not that textured surface, it's a smooth surface so that may be the difference. The dents annoy me though. My stainless appliances don't have any dents yet and fingerprints are easy to wipe clean, they don't bother me much and are limited to the handle area. My kids don't paw at the stove (they know not to touch it because you never know when it's on) and they don't use the dishwasher because I'd rather just load that myself so little fingers aren't on the appliances. With toddlers I can see fingerprints being an issue but my youngest is 3 1/2 and he doesn't bother with the appliances. Now the handle on my old white stove was YUCKO all the time as is the white handles on my current fridge. I wish they could make those out of a material that doesn't look dingy and yellow after a time. I know my microwave had a nicer handle, smooth and easy to clean....See MoreStainless steel sink with white appliances
Comments (21)We moved into the home about a year ago; it's our 'starter home.' We will be selling and moving to a larger home in probably 3-5 years. It's a fairly small kitchen (less than 50 sq ft of counter top) in a fairly small house (~1,100 sq ft, 2 bed, 1 bath). We looked into quartz, granite, solid surface, etc. but the price hike just isn't worth it. Adding something that nice to this house won't raise the value very much. We aren't touching the cabinet, appliances or flooring either. Just replacing counter top and backsplash. The laminate (with a nice edge) and new backsplash should make the kitchen look WAY better. A picture of the current kitchen is below. You can see the sink in question as well as the counter and backsplash. Here is a link that might be useful:...See MoreJoseph Corlett, LLC
