Looking for lighting and design advice for 16 ft. dining room walls
Comments (3)Take a picture of the whole room not "the wall", try also standing up on the landing and shooting the room from there as well. Also, this room is narrow, so if you could draw a floor plan. And we need to see the ceiling. You can drop mono-rail lighting down and and focused light on the art, Tech lighting, WAC lightng try looking at their inspo pictures. I can help you more than that without some wide room shots and a floor plan. And yes that picture is way too small. You could even try hanging a real used window frame there. But I would probably do two pictures on that wall because of the size of the room. Another option, if there is an outlet on that wall and electrician maybe able to add a wall outlet....See MoreLiving Room/Dining Room Combo - design help!
Comments (1)Cute place, i see the challenge, but I am really against a sectional in this space let alone for guest to have to sit next to each other it creates a weird dynamic. I hope you are not planning to put the tv over the fireplace that would also be a neck breaker. I see the couch on the side the two red chairs. the tv on the wall with the lockers and 2 chairs to the dining room side....See MoreHelp choosing lighting for open plan family room/dining room
Comments (3)I want to tell you 1 key tip for lighting, don't put the cart before the horse. You MUST put your furniture in the space, right now you can't "see" the space, and that is what is making it so hard. once things are in the space, and the rooms shrink, you will have a much better idea of not only what will look pretty but will actually function for you. also, things like the size of the table are very important when scaling. Lastly matching or not, doesn't matter, farmhouse is not about matchy matchy, its eclectic. if you stay within that wheelhouse they will coordinate by default....See Moredining room design help!!
Comments (3)Lovely home 💗💗 Random point- I think I’d remove one of the bar stools, unless you need it on a constant basis. It looks squishy. Then, when I needed it out, I’d put it on the other side. But no more than 3 belong there on a regular basis. The marble top dining table is magnificent!!! I’m obsessed. I’m sold. This is it! I wouldn’t do velvet. I think I’d do more of a canvas material for the chair. Lemme find some options… 🫶🫶🫶...See MoreAndy Kingston
