Sometimes in children their eyes will see two different images, amblyopia, and over time the brain will suppress one. I actually found one of these when doing some vision testing in my clinic. Finding it early and immediately communicating results to parents and the child's doctor is important because eventually the suppression can be long term. It is often treated at first by patching the stronger eye.

tv screens are weird too, if you try to take a photo of what is happening on the tube you will see what I mean
