Need advice for setting vanity against wall
Comments (6)Aesthetics are a personal thing. Personally, I think it would look stupid if you had a 1" gap between your cabinet and the wall without a filler strip. If you already have a top and it overhangs on the side that is closest to the wall, do what people have suggested a couple times above and get a FILLER STRIP. If you don't already have the top, and the drawers don't rub up against the wall or hit door trim then you don't need a filler strip and the countertop you get will be cut so it fits properly. Please let myself or others know if you need more assistance. Thank you and have a nice weekend....See MoreNeed refrigerator for condo to fit 36'w x 70 1/4' h space
Comments (4)I like Kitchen Aid. Pricey, I thought, but we got one - SS counterdepth with bottom drawer freezer, and one door opening. Look at KitchenAid.com site and plug in your preferences. MSRP's are just that, you can get them for way less at appliance stores. Except for during the month we bought all of our new appliances, there are always mfg. rebates offered and may be worth the wait, if you can. Now, I really liked my white one-door Amana counterdepth too with bottom swing-door freezer opening (about $2K). We had it less than 5 years, sold it to a friend for $300 because it just didn't f--i--t with our new SS mindset. Wail!!!!!!...See MoreRefrigerator against a corner wall
Comments (14)I do support the use of the tall cabinet to the hinge side since you have the room. Its really the best idea. But some of the smarter-designed fridges are eliminating the interference of the door bins to the drawers in the carcass. Liebherr has drawers that stick out more in the carcass and the door is flat with no bins in that area, in many models. They need to start designing more fridges that don't need the door swing of a Cadillac. I have to eliminate a large majority of the refrigerators in projects I do, because the kitchens--or houses-- are too small. The KitchenAid above has removable door bins so the bins can be removed if the big drawer has to be removed all the way. The GE with the ridiculously deep bins, does not. I don't like the deep bins anyway because if the containers aren't huge they tip around when you open and close the door....See MoreI need help-- Ikea cabinet over refrigerator doesn't fit!
Comments (13)Here are directions to turn a narrow upper into a horizontal cabinet like xonatxo has suggested. They've used an 18" cabinet to fit between counter and uppers. Not sure IKEA has a 12" x 30" tall upper, but plans for Cool IKEA hack nonetheless. https://inspiredkitchendesign.com/ikea-kitchen-hack-cabinet-many-uses/...See MoreRelated Professionals
