Porcelain tile vs. LVT

I want to replace all the flooring in my daylight basement. It doesn't have leaks from outside but the drains do back up occasionally so I need something waterproof and easy to clean. I'm considering LVT. My problem with it is that it's an environmental disaster: completely artificial, puts out toxic vapors, and it's not biodegradable in any way. Other options are having the concrete refinished or putting in some type of porcelain tile.
There are 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a laundry room. The house is in a moderately cold climate and funds are limited. Any advice?
