Comments (2)I think Gulligan is GilliganÂs twin brother perhaps? I'm not sure of you water quality as all wells are not the same. However, Texas water tends to be hard and hope that is your only problem. No way of knowing until the well is drilled, the flush is completed and a sample can be taken to get tested. I personally would go with the maniblock/pex system. Just a couple of benefits would be a central shut-off but besides that, with a central distribution, the tendency to have pressure differences when other fixtures are used in the house is virtually gone. Of course with a well, you will have a pressure difference to deal with already due to the pump pressure switch. Unless you upgrade to a constant pressure well pump system that operates with a variable speed submersible pump that works really well and saves on electrical energy costs. Grundfos makes about the best, I have had one at my cottage for 4 years now. I sized it larger and regardless of my irrigation system running, toilets and showers running, I never experience more than a 4-5 PSI pressure difference in the house....See MoreCorrosion on pex to copper fitting
Comments (3)Are the pex to copper fitting soldered? It is probably flux residue. It is self limiting, once the reaction uses up the flux salts it stops. If you want to wipe it off it should not occur again (depending on how well you actually clean it off)....See Moregreg_2015
