GFCI Outlet Issues

Ally Shaw

Hi, new homeowner here. I would prefer to learn and DIY this process if I can before I call an electrician. We moved into our house and noticed all the outlets in the bathrooms wouldn't work. House is 1998. Found the GFCI in the garage, but it is receiving power. Tried resetting the outlet multiple times but it has not helped the other regular (non GFCI) outlets. Breaker has not been tripped this whole time. I'm not even certain that GFCI outlet in the garage is on the same circuit as the bathroom outlets, they are connected to two separate breaker fuses.
My first thought is to change out the outlets in the bathrooms and check the wiring. They're old and could use it anyways. But if that doesn't solve my issue, what next?
Help is appreciated. Thanks
