@Abballmom @Michelle G @pamela1154 @Megan Redlich We are choosing between carpet and CoreTec Calypso Oak in a bonus room/playroom. I do love the colors and appreciate all of your photos! A couple of questions: - For those who have it on an upper level: what is the noise like below? This would be on our second story above my husband's office so I worry a bit about this, especially compared to carpet. - Is it easy to clean? Any issues with vacuum (or a roomba) scratching it? - What about scratching in general? We have a large dog...and young kids who love to push all kinds of things around on the floor :) - Are you generally still happy with your choice? Thank you so much!

Thank you @aziline!! I talked to Shaw. I really think they manufacture coretec also ... I didn't ask but one of the products they recommended was by Coretec. Anyway, the person I got in touch with has the same cabinets as me. She gave me a few suggestions. LARGO MIX PLUS GRAN SASSO JATOBA CASA PLUS GRIGIO LARGO MIX PLUS CAMPANIA JATOBA Edinburgh Oak I haven't tried any of these. The coretec she suggested has enhanced bevels that I have been avoiding. Therefore, it might have been at the flooring store but in the section I wasn't looking. I haven't taken home any of Shaw's products. I really haven't looked at Shaw. I didn't really want varied length boards but I will overlook that as long as I feel it will look good in the space. I also don't think the tile would look good on the whole floor. Maybe in the bathroom but not the entire space. Isn't remodeling suppose to be fun??!!

Here is the Ravenswood installed. You can see more on our Instagram account. It sometimes pull pink and sometimes gray, but it's a nice saturation. Not too light, not too dark. I don't love the bevel and how wide/long they are, but they are very wonderful overall. We have lots of green trees around the house to counteract the pink in the floors, so they look pretty natural in our house. The one downside of the Ravenswood is that is does seem to change color a lot based on natural and artificial lighting, so I would suggest getting some long planks of it before you buy.

We had Ciaro Oak Pro Plus XL installed about 3 months ago in the entire main floor. Half of the floor was laid over existing 3/4" hardwood the rest was laid over 3/4" underlayment that was brought in to take the prior carpeted areas up to the hardwood level. We have popping, crackling "snap, crackle, pop" when you walk on it and physical movement up and down by 1/4" or more in some areas where the LVP was laid over the existing hardwood. So frustating. Coretec Shaw said that it is normal and a floating floor can make noises. We thought it was an installation issue but this thread makes make wonder. We purchased our flooring through Costco and are trying to come to a resolution. Thank goodness we haven't installed baseboards yet.
